> The heat and humidity really came back quickly on Wednesday across
> Central and Eastern Kentucky and it appears the heat will be
> sticking for the remainder of the work week as well. Afternoon
> highs reached the low and mid 90s with heat indices close to 100
> degrees at times. As the heat ridge builds in even stronger for
> Thursday and Friday, highs should surge into the mid and upper 90s
> with heat indices over 100 degrees at times. Once again slow it
> down during the hottest part of the day. By the weekend a frontal
> system will approach from the northwest, increasing our chances for
> scattered showers and storms late Saturday and into Sunday.
> Temperatures should cool off slightly behind the front with
> readings in the mid to upper 80s. We should see a bit of a warm up
> again by early next week with highs back into the low 90s…TG

Did you actually read the cynthiana story? I left a comment for it.. The woman is in critical condition and they simply charged him with assault!!!! Mom thinks it may be aggravated assualt which is just as bad as attempted murder but they don’t have to prove they had the intent to kill, just that they were reckless and didn’t care whether they did or not. I left a comment on the story, they have to approve it though so no telling whether it will show up…
I read it… it didn’t say much… We picked up a copy of the Democrat… It’s front page news… Haven’t read it yet, but noticed that the article that was published differs from the one on the web-site:
UPDATED: Ex-RECC chief arrested in shooting
From what I understand, they can’t speed up the process of attaching higher charges unless the woman dies. Something about it having to be seen before somebody before assigning charges… I dunno, law isn’t my thing…
From what I heard, which is rumor-mill (and info is from last night), she came home with a U-Haul, he went nuts and shot her in the head and the abdomen, and grazed her somewhere else.
When I get some time later on, I’m gonna read it.
What I read was that she got shot once in the abdomen and once in the neck and is in critical condition. It may be that they charged him with aggravated for now until they get more information. I don’t know I just hope to god our police department doesn’t half ass this like they do everything else… Sometimes I really hate this town lol
