  1. The incident occurred yesterday morning. It was around quarter-past nine that I got a call from my mother, asking me if I had the scanner on. I hadn’t. She told me that there was apparently a three-alarm fire at Hillside Apartments and that both the Cynthiana Fire Department and the Harrison County Fire District were on scene. I hadn’t learned any other details of the event until this morning.
According to what my mother told me, Marcus had been pissed off at his ex- and for some reason decided to set the room ablaze. Police and Fire units were dispatched. It has been rumored that a few officers had to help calm Wilbur and keep him from beating up his nephew(?).
Several families have been displaced (I do not know the number) by the damage sustained from the fire and the resulting smoke and water. To my knowledge arrangements have/are being made to aide these families.

  2. this post used to have a hot-linked image.
alas, the image, and the story no longer exist because the Democrat revamped their site.
what really sucks is that they don’t allow bots, so there isn’t an archive of this, or any story of theirs anywhere else.
