This entry originally started as, well, something entirely different. After giving it some thought, I realized I could turn it into a resolution for the new year. Here’s hoping that I succeed.
I haven’t written anything worth reading in a very long time.
It disturbs me.
I really don’t know why it bothers me so much, considering I have maybe five people who actually stop and see what I’m up to, or what my thoughts are. Heck, I probably have more people checking out what I have to say via facebook than through this.
Still, I hate the fact that I haven’t found it easy to say anything.
I’ve decided to try and go back — starting with my first entry (which was imported from my livejournal account) — and read everything I’ve ever shared to see if I can somehow rediscover my voice.
I hope that with the new year I will be able to return to sharing my thoughts and delivering messages that I’ve found interesting or important.
Here’s one entry that kind of illustrates what I’d like to get back to:

Though, this random sort of stuff isn’t what I want my blog to be made entirely of. I’ll comment back with a few more examples when I run across ’em.
Oh, and after looking at the blog in the default format, I think I kinda like it. I think I’ll make/choose a theme that doesn’t deviate too much from it’s simplicity.
Wait. I said that the other themes weren’t me. Now I’m saying I like this one’s simplicity. Did I just call myself simple?
Site has been totally worked over since then, so the URL listed above is broken.

This kind of entry, too:

I’ve kind of fallen away from doing this sort of entry (posting something I found or read elsewhere) in favor of sharing items in Google Reader. Maybe that’s something I need to look at more. Rather than hoping somebody visits my shared items, shared stuff or anything else that gets picked up on friendfeed, maybe I should try writing something about it.

Apparently I’ve suffered spells of writers block before:

Another decent example of stuff I’d kind of like to get back into:

This post would’ve originated as one of those annoying bulletins on myspace (maybe even an email forward). Rather than reposting as a bulletin (or forwarding, as the case may have been), I blogged it. I’d blog those silly things because I thought it’d be interesting to come back to it later. Had it been treated as everyone else treats those things, it’d be long gone.
The trouble with trying to do that again lies in the fact that I don’t check myspace for blogging fodder anymore. I also don’t get many email forwards because all of those who emailed me that stuff are now religiously using myspace!

An awesome example of what i want to be blogging again! Read it! Read it! Read it!

…doing this kind of stuff was fun:

That entry was from one of those times where I sat and wrote notes in the classroom while waiting for class to begin/resume. I think I might have a few more of those sorts of writings in the dozens of notebooks lying around here.

Another decent post, which kind of goes along with what I am currently doing (going back, and reading over old writings):

Is it me, or am I starting to create some sort of “best of” list with these comments?

This was a nice one, as well:
