THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST /6 AM
CST/ SATURDAY.
* TIMING: SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS SOUTHERN INDIANA THIS EVENING.
OVER NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY...FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL
TRANSITION OVER TO ALL SNOW FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST THIS
EVENING. ACCUMULATING SNOW LOOKS TO END ACROSS THE WARNING AREA
BY LATE THIS EVENING. A PERIOD OF FREEZING DRIZZLE MAY FOLLOW
LATE TONIGHT.
* MAIN IMPACT: CONTINUED HEAVY SNOW OVER SOUTHERN INDIANA WILL
CAUSE TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS BY LATE THIS EVENING. ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE OHIO
RIVER IN NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY TOTAL SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATION
IS EXPECTED TO REACH 3 TO 6 INCHES TONIGHT. CENTRAL AND EAST
CENTRAL KENTUCKY HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED UP TO A QUARTER INCH OF
ICE WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS AND ARE FORECAST TO RECEIVE UP
TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW THIS EVENING.
* OTHER IMPACTS: A PERIOD OF FREEZING DRIZZLE IS EXPECTED TO
FOLLOW THE ACCUMULATING SNOWS AFTER MIDNIGHT WHICH MAY CAUSE AN
ADDITIONAL LIGHT GLAZE. ALSO TEMPERATURES WILL RAPIDLY FALL
ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA TONIGHT SO ANY PRE-EXISTING WET SURFACES
COULD QUICKLY FREEZE CREATING MORE HAZARDOUS DRIVING AND WALKING
CONDITIONS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE MEANS
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE ARE FORECAST
DEPENDENT ON LOCATION AND WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. NORTHERLY
WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WHICH WILL DROP WIND
CHILLS INTO THE UPPER TEENS THIS EVENING. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP
AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF
