A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST /MIDNIGHT
CST/ SATURDAY.
* TIMING: SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN ARE OCCURRING OVER
SOUTHERN INDIANA AND PARTS OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY NEAR THE OHIO
RIVER. A TRANSITION TO JUST SNOW WILL CONTINUE OCCURRING OVER
SOUTHERN INDIANA THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. AREAS ALONG THE OHIO
RIVER AND SOUTH CAN EXPECT A CHANGE OVER TO JUST SNOW LATE THIS
AFTERNOON OR EVENING. THE SNOW INTENSITY IS FORECAST TO PICK UP
DURING THE AFTERNOON. SNOW LOOKS TO END ACROSS THE WARNING AREA
BY LATE FRIDAY EVENING.
* MAIN IMPACT: OVER SOUTHERN INDIANA HEAVY SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON
WILL CAUSE ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES. ALONG THE OHIO
RIVER AND FOR POINTS SOUTH FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET
ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE THE MAIN IMPACT AT FIRST WITH SNOW ADDED
ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM 2 TO 6
INCHES FOR SLEET AND SNOW AND BETWEEN A QUARTER AND A HALF
INCH OF ICE.
* OTHER IMPACTS: TEMPERATURES WILL RAPIDLY FALL ACROSS THE ENTIRE
AREA TONIGHT. ANY PRE-EXISTING WET SURFACES COULD QUICKLY
FREEZE CREATING MORE HAZARDOUS DRIVING AND WALKING CONDITIONS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE MEANS
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...SLEET...AND ICE ARE FORECAST
DEPENDENT ON LOCATION AND WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. NORTHERLY
WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE WHICH WILL DROP WIND
CHILLS INTO THE UPPER TEENS BY FRIDAY EVENING. IF YOU MUST
TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT... FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.
