.A WARM FRONT WILL SURGE NORTHWARD ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND
SOUTHERN INDIANA OVERNIGHT. AFTER THE WARM FRONT PASSES
THROUGH...SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE DRAMATICALLY DURING THE
DAY ON THURSDAY AS A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT DEVELOPS ACROSS THE
REGION. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH

* WINDS...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45
MPH ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.
* TIMING...THE PERIOD OF STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE BETWEEN 10 AM EST
THURSDAY AND 1 AM EST FRIDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL DECREASE LATE
FRIDAY NIGHT AS THE PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES.
* IMPACTS...HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES MAY BE BLOWN AROUND BY THE
WINDS. MOTORISTS SHOULD USE CAUTION ESPECIALLY ON EAST AND WEST
FACING ROADWAYS. IN ADDITION...SOGGY GROUND CONDITIONS FROM THE
RECENT WARMTH MAY RESULT IN TREES BEING EASILY KNOCKED DOWN DUE
TO THE HIGH WINDS. LARGE TREE BRANCHES BROKEN FROM RECENT ICING
EVENTS MAY ALSO BE DISLODGED AND MAY FALL TO THE GROUND AND
POSSIBLY INTO POWER LINES.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH OR
WIND GUSTS FROM 45 TO 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN
MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
WEAKENED TREES MAY ALSO BE BLOWN OVER AND UNSECURED OUTDOOR
