.AFTER A WARM FRONT PASSES NORTH THROUGH THE AREA EARLY THIS
MORNING...SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE DRAMATICALLY AFTER SUNRISE
AS A STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT DEVELOPS ACROSS THE REGION.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH ARE
EXPECTED BY THIS AFTERNOON. THE WINDS WILL SUBSIDE EARLY FRIDAY
MORNING AS A STRONG COLD FRONT PRESSES EASTWARD ACROSS KENTUCKY.

* WINDS...SUSTAINED SOUTH WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40
  TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA.

* TIMING...THE PERIOD OF STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE THIS AFTERNOON
  AND EVENING. WINDS WILL DECREASE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING AS THE
  PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES.

* IMPACTS...HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES MAY BE BLOWN AROUND BY THE
  WINDS. MOTORISTS SHOULD USE CAUTION ESPECIALLY ON EAST-WEST
  ROADWAYS. IN ADDITION...SOGGY GROUND CONDITIONS FROM THE
  RECENT WARMTH MAY RESULT IN TREES BEING EASILY KNOCKED DOWN
  DUE TO THE HIGH WINDS. LARGE TREE BRANCHES BROKEN FROM RECENT
  ICING EVENTS MAY ALSO BE DISLODGED AND MAY FALL TO THE GROUND
  AND POSSIBLY ONTO POWER LINES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH OR
WIND GUSTS FROM 40 TO 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN
MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
WEAKENED TREES MAY ALSO BE BLOWN OVER AND UNSECURED OUTDOOR
OBJECTS WILL BE BLOWN AROUND BY THE WIND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
