A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST /NOON
CST/ THURSDAY.

* TIMING: RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO SLEET THIS AFTERNOON AND
  EVENING. THIS SLEET THEN WILL THEN TRANSITION TO SNOW...BECOMING
  HEAVY BY MID EVENING AND CONTINUING INTO TONIGHT. SNOW WILL END
  EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS: 4 TO 10 INCHES OF SNOW ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTH
  CENTRAL KENTUCKY. LOCALIZED HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY
  FROM THE NORTHERN BLUE GRASS TO THE NOLIN AND ROUGH RIVER LAKE
  AREAS.

* MAIN IMPACT: PLAN ON SNOW COVERED ROADS AND DANGEROUS TRAVEL
  CONDITIONS. SNOW RATES MAY BE INTENSE...RESULTING IN RAPID
  ACCUMULATIONS AND LOW VISIBILITIES.

* OTHER IMPACTS: NORTH WINDS GUSTING UP TO 20 MPH TONIGHT. THIS
  COMBINED WITH THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW COULD RESULT IN SCATTERED
  POWER OUTAGES AND DOWNED TREE LIMBS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TRAVEL WILL BE TREACHEROUS WITH SOME ROADS NEARLY IMPASSABLE.
HAVE AN EMERGENCY KIT OF BLANKETS...FOOD...WATER AND FLASHLIGHTS
