Reminder:
We will be taking Santa Claus to children in local hospitals tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM and Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. Details below:
The dates are set for December 15, 6:00 PM at UK Children’s Hospital, and December 16, 6:30 PM at Shriner’s Hostpital to bring the children Santa Claus on the Radio for Christmas. None or the children we visit, nor their parents, will be able to be home for Christmas.

At UK Children’s Hospital, we’ll meet in the UK Hospital cafeteria at about 5:30-5:45 then go up to the Children’s Hospital as a group. We’ll have to wait for an escort, and maybe dress in gowns and masks, before going to the children’s rooms. Our escort will get permission from each of the kids parent(s) before we can go into the rooms. We’ll be using HTs and will probably transmit on Mike and Jeanie’s 444.125 (T-85.0) repeater. If propagation is not good from within the hospital, we’ll try 147.125 (T-1413) as a backup.
At Shriner’s Hospital on Tuesday evening, we’ll meet at about 6:15 PM inside the rear entrance and be checked in by security. We’ll go to the designated area (probably the rec room) as a group and get instructions from the host supervisor. She’ll tell us the names of the kids we’ll be talking with. We’ll use the 144.125 repeater as a primary, and have 146.760 as a backup.
At both hospitals, J.B. Young/WA4WWH will be playing the voice of Santa.
