ยป Weather Updates
ยป ===================================
ยป
ยป Well, to wrap up the work week we actually saw some rain early on
ยป in the day. Moisture is back in full force and is also making it
ยป feel very sticky outside. While showers will diminish throughout
ยป the evening, a stray shower can’t be ruled out. However, things
ยป will start drying out overnight for the weekend. Ridging builds
ยป back in for Saturday and Sunday and this will keep temperatures
ยป well above normal throug Monday. Models are in general agreement
ยป for the timing of our next frontal system. Tuesday looks to bring
ยป the best coverage for rainfall with isolated storms hanging around
ยป through late Wednesday. Behind this front we should feel a distinct
ยป cool down with highs Thursday and Friday in the mid and upper 60’s.
ยป Fall is coming back around!

Christmas project needs public support to continue
This writing was a letter to the editor in The Cynthiana Democrat:
To the editor:
Christmas is very near and the list of needs is long. In Harrison County, there are many parents who will need a little help with their children’s gifts and toys.
The Community Christmas Project, Inc. is hard at work to help as many children as we can to have a Merry Christmas. We hope the community will be as giving this year as in the past.
Without everyone’s help, it cannot happen. We thank you for the money and new toys for boys and girls from birth to 10 years of age.
We know it’s early, but we hope you will add the Christmas project to your list. Sign up will be Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Harrison County Fire Department station on Oddville Avenue.
Anyone with questions can call 234-1689.
Peggy Carson
President
