…a little birdie told me…

…that the NWS is trying to set up a special area for EM (at least the little local guys) for the IEMchat… neat… (be even neater if they could set up something for it to be accessed through the KSP’s KYWINS network… endless possibilities there…

i had found the thing (the public version, anyway) thanks to a comment left at another blog… from the quick taste i had gotten that night, i love it.

i haven’t done anything since, because my computer died!

neat weather toy…

I just found something neat a little while ago… A way for anyone to chat with the NWS and each other in order to keep abreast of weather situations. Pretty cool, huh?
Set-up was painless–I was online and in the local area’s room in no time.
I love how the iembot fed info on the conditions and alerts into the room. Cool thing about this is that it fed links to see the full topic, area of discussion, and/or radar graphic. Absolutely awesome!
I think I’ll set this up at the office the next time I go over there (maybe tomorrow morning). Just wonder why we hadn’t heard of this before…
Well, time for bed… D’s giving me the evil eye… (and i’m tired anyway)
