AT 346 PM EDT…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES WEST OF CYNTHIANA TO 7 MILES NORTHEAST OF GEORGETOWN. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL MAINLY AFFECT SOUTHERN HARRISON COUNTY…NORTHERN BOURBON AND WESTERN NICHOLAS COUNTIES.
CONTINUOUS DEADLY CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING…HEAVY RAIN WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AROUND ONE INCH PER HOUR REDUCING VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN ONE MILE…SMALL PEA OR MARBLE SIZE HAIL… AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS OF AROUND 45 TO 50 MPH… ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.
THESE STORMS WILL BE… NEAR CYNTHIANA BY 405 PM EDT. 6 MILES NORTHWEST OF PARIS BY 415 PM EDT.

The regularly scheduled October 16th board meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 23rd due to Fall Break.
Good luck to the Thorobreds on Friday night! They play Lexington Catholic on the hilltop at 7:30 pm.
The Thorobred Classic Marching Band Contest is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th beginning at 1:00 pm. The contest will take place at Ingles Stadium. There will be 14 bands from across the region competing in the contest. The Harrison County Marching Thorobreds will be giving an exhibition performance at the end of the night.
Fillies Volleyball will be hosting the Fillies Fall Fling on Saturday, September 29th. Games are being played at the high school and middle school gyms. There are 12 teams participating in pool play and games begin at 9:00 am and last throughout the day.
A run down of this morning’s Coffeebreak (for anyone who actually cares and reads about it) will have to come at a later date… While I was listening and taking notes, I was doing so in the car, while on my way to Lexington to sell plasma (and just returned).
I do not have the time at this moment to write anything on this morning’s show, for I’ve got a bunch of housework to do, and a few more errands to run before I go to class tonight.

Shortly before 1:00a.m. there was a call received by dispatch of a tractor-trailer accident on New Lair Road. The call was placed by the driver. The truck had left 3M with a load of tape.
County Fire and Police units were dispatched to the scene.
I have no further information on this incident, at this time.
