I was watching the news this afternoon, and found this story entertaining. I still haven’t figured out what part of the story I like better–granny taking control, or Bill’s pun at the end…

bored mobile blogging
Meh. I Dunno. I’m just bored. Figured I had nothing better to do. So I decided to do this. Not really helping my boredom, either.
Yeah… This is boring, too.

trying to get back into the swing
I really haven’t been writing a whole lot of anything in a very long time, and it really irritates me. I would love to jump right back into sharing everything I feel, think and do; but for some reason, I am finding it rather difficult. I wish I knew why.
Fortunately, over the past few weeks, I have rediscovered the fun of toying around with the blog, and have been half-way forcing myself to spend some time here. Perhaps the biggest thing I’ve done has been changing the theme of the blog, and editing it to try and suit my needs/likes. This has been a slightly daunting task, as I still don’t know much about how wordpress works, or any of the stuff in the background, like css and php. But, I’m learning.

geeky little post
Ever wonder what sort of geeky stuff I do? What programs I use? How much time I really spend in front of a computer?
If you said no, I’d imagine you’re a part of the majority of people I know. But, if for some reason you found yourself thinking, “Why, yes! I want to know! Tell me, tell me, tell me!” then the following is for you. Continue reading “geeky little post”

Highlights of today
I think that the children and I had a rather nice day today. There really isn’t much more that I can say about what we did that made the day so wonderful. So, being as I cannot find more words to explain, I offer an image representing the fun we had:
Thank You
There are sill a great many things which I would love to talk about, yet I am still lacking the time necessary to do so. How I would love for all of the troubles I am facing to calm. To have the ability to relax and write again would be so wonderful.
There is one thing, however, I would like to share, and therefore I am taking these few short minutes to do so.
Yesterday evening, when we returned home, we discovered an envelope in the mail which bore the Housing Authority’s return address. Worry and fear filled our hearts as we laid eyes upon the unopened envelope. With all the negative punches that have been thrown our way, we believed that this would be one more painful blow to our bruised skins.
When the envelope was finally opened, and the contents were shown, I came very close to crying.
Connie had endorsed and sent us a voucher to receive food items from the local pantry.
Amidst all we have endured a kind gesture from outside made its way through, and found us. I believe that moment was the first in weeks where both Diana and I felt joy of such magnitude.
I would now like to declare this entry as a public “Thank you” to Connie, the Housing Authority, the pantry, and anyone else who has helped us recently and in the past. Thank you. Thank you all.
