Severe Storms Tonight?
A large complex of powerful thunderstorms is expected to charge from Illinois to Ohio this afternoon into tonight. It’s possible that a narrow, broken line of storms may extend to the southwest of the main cluster and could sweep through southern Indiana and central Kentucky tonight. There is still some question as to how widespread and how severe any storms in our area would be. However, it does appear that there is at least a chance of severe weather tonight, especially over southern Indiana and northern Kentucky. Damaging winds will be the main threat, but isolated tornadoes and large hail will be possible as well. The most likely timing is between 10pm and 4am EDT.

Be sure your NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) is programmed correctly and includes fresh batteries! Since these storms will be coming through during the overnight hours, it’s important to have NWR nearby so it can wake you up if you’re asleep when the storms hit.
