336 PM EST SUN DEC 21 2008 /236 PM CST SUN DEC 21 2008/
…WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION POSSIBLE TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT
ACROSS CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA…
A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM OVER THE WESTERN UNITED STATES WILL MOVE
EAST INTO THE WESTERN OHIO VALLEY TUESDAY. AS THIS WEATHER SYSTEM
APPROACHES…STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL ALLOW WARMER AIR TO MOVE
IN ALOFT OVER AN ARCTIC AIRMASS THAT WILL BE IN PLACE ACROSS THE
REGION. THIS COMBINATION OF WARM AIR ALOFT AND COLD AIR AT THE
SURFACE WILL SET THE STAGE FOR A PERIOD OF WINTRY WEATHER MAINLY
DURING THE DAY ON TUESDAY AND POSSIBLY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT.
PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST TO START OFF AS SLEET AND THEN CHANGE
OVER TO A PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN. AS THE STORM MOVES FURTHER EAST
INTO THE REGION TUESDAY NIGHT…SUFFICIENT WARMING IS EXPECTED AND
ALL THE PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST TO CHANGE OVER TO PLAIN RAIN.
